This bid is a sole-source solicitation for spheroid-qualified cryopreserved primary human hepatocytes from Lonza, required for Complement-ARIE research by NIH/NIEHS. The cells are needed to develop and evaluate human three-dimensional microphysiological systems for modeling liver injury. To win, the vendor must be Lonza, as they are the only identified source capable of providing the specific combination of spheroid-qualified cells, male and female donor preparations, and re-qualified cell lots compatible with the established research methodology.
